Victorian Professional Development Forums
The Australasian Fleet Management Association organises a Professional Development Forum program for Victoria throughout 2017. This event kicks off with lunch and follows with discussions on topics chosen by the Chapter Committee based on members needs. They are an ideal way of staying abreast of topical issues, networking with fellow fleet managers, connecting with potential clients, entertaining and reaffirming existing clients or taking the first step in discovering what it is like to be an AfMA Member. We encourage you to contact the office if you have any questions about this event.
Who Should Attend
Fleet managers, fleet coordinators, fleet administrators and any individual working to manage an organisation's vehicles. You should also bring your upper management team, so they'll be aware of the issues you face and need to plan for in the future.
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) - what is it, why does it matter and should I be considering it?
Presented by: Andrew Somers
MaaS is a customer-focussed concept that puts the users at the core of transport services, offering them tailor-made mobility solutions based on their individual needs that use all forms of transport. By offering convenient, affordable, total mobility needs for an individual, MaaS has the potential to challenge traditional concepts of car ownership. This presentation will introduce MaaS, identify how MaaS fits into the disruptions associated with the sharing economy, the internet of things and connected and automated vehicles and look at some potential opportunities for fleet managers to benefit from MaaS.
