Lee Sauerwald - Uniting Communities


With nearly 30 years corporate services and fleet management experience, Lee is the Executive Manager Corporate Services Uniting Communities and his responsibilities include Property, Procurement and Financial and Fleet Management Services, Carbon Reduction and Goodwill Stores supporting Lifeline Adelaide. Lee possesses strong general management skills and is a CPA and holds an MBA. Lee won AFMA’s Fleet Environment Award in 2010 and served AFMA in various capacities over many years including Vice President and SA Chapter Committee Chair and participated in many sub-committees.

Pat Ahern - Swan Hill Rural City Council


Pat’s experience within the industry spans 30+ years beginning as a transport Officer, followed by Fleet Manager within state government. He continued on to Managing Director and Principal Consultant for Fleet Eze, reviewing and implementing fleet management practices and systems for various Government organisations as well as major corporations across both Australia and overseas. Pat is currently employed with Swan Hill Rural City Council managing a diverse portfolio which includes fleet, plant and workshops. Pat has served AFMA in various capacities over many years including General Board Member, VIC Chapter Committee Member and participated in many sub-committees.

Brendan Stooke - Telstra Fleet


With 36 years of experience in and around fleet management. Brendan utilised his accounting profession to deliver supply chain sustainability and superior outcomes in fleet management. Brendan was the National Fleet Manager of Telstra Fleet and won AFMA’s Fleet Safety Award in 2003 and AFMA’s Fleet Environment Award in 2004. A strong manager with a history of effectively managing operational teams and leading these teams through evolving change. Brendan has served AFMA in various capacities over 13 years including Treasurer and General Board Member.

Mace Hartley - AfMA


Mace Hartley has over 30 years’ commercial experience spanning retail automotive, general insurance and fleet management industries. He holds an Associate Diploma in Accounting and held key roles including Chief Financial Officer for Summit Investment Australia (a Sumitomo company), National Sales & Distribution Manager for Swann Insurance specialising in Fleet, Broker and New Markets and following Smartgroup’s acquisition of his insurance distribution business (Tailored Automotive Insurances) General Manager of Smartfleet Management with 42,000 vehicles under management.

Michelle Bourke - Cohealth Ltd


Michelle has been in the fleet industry for over 20 years in different capacities, previously as National Fleet Manager for CRS Australia, Fleet Manager at QEK and Fleet Administration at Cadbury Schweppes. This has led to Michelle managing fleets from 150 vehicles to over 5, 000 vehicles within a supplier and customer role. Michelle recently was the Facility and Contracts Manager for Cohealth and is now project managing for various organisations. Michelle has served AFMA in various capacities over the years including VIC Chapter Committee Chair and more recently as General Board Member.

Greg Sharpe - Boral Limited


Greg has more than 40 years’ experience in the motor industry clocking up 20 years with Toyota Motor Corporation before joining Boral Limited where he is the National Fleet Manager. Greg has developed a pragmatic reputation and is recognised as a strong no fuss leader who works tirelessly to delivery safe and sustainable fleet management for Boral. Greg has served AFMA in various capacities over many years including NSW Chapter Committee Member and more recently as General Board Member.
