Who Should Attend
Fleet managers, fleet coordinators, fleet administrators and any individual working to manage an organisation’s vehicles. You should also bring your upper management team, so they’ll be aware of the issues you face and need to plan for in the future.

Topic 1 – “Understanding the risk of mobile assets in the workplace”

Presented by: Chris L’Ecluse

The workplace extends far beyond the four walls of the office. The vehicles that make up an organisation’s fleet are often fraught with the most danger, with statistics showing that over two thirds of all workplace fatalities occur in or around a vehicle.

There are several layers of legislation which governs how vehicles are used in a workplace environment with significant government oversight and penalties for non-compliance.

How can businesses lower potential risk exposure for drivers, staff and executives? And how can new technologies be utilised to mitigate these dangers?

AfMA is delighted to welcome Teletrac Navman Solutions Specialist, Chris L’Ecluse as he draws on over 20 years of Police experience to educate and assist the fleet industry as a whole.

Chris’ presentation will assist fleet operators to:

  • Understand the laws
  • Minimise risk exposure
  • Make driving safer for all road users
  • Understand how telematics technology can mitigate the risks

Topic 2 – “Life Without Barrier’s Telematics Journey – Backbone to Success

Presented by: Nathan Reynolds

In 2013 Nathan Reynolds was engaged by Life Without Barriers to “fix fleet”. LWB have 1100+ vehicles across 300 communities travelling 26m kilometres per year. The implementation of telematics in 2014 was critical to the success of the transformation of fleet management and managing driver safety. In just 3 short years, their fleet manager, Peter Armour was awarded Fleet Manager of the year recognising their successful transformation.

Come along and be inspired about what changes you can make to improve your fleet operations.
