 Western Australian Professional Development Forum

The Australasian Fleet Management Association organises a Professional Development Forum program for Western Australia throughout 2019. This event kicks off with networking followed with breakfast and then experts share their knowledge in their field.

Who Should Attend

These forums are an ideal way of staying abreast of topical issues, networking with fellow fleet managers, connecting with potential clients, entertaining and reaffirming existing clients or taking the first step in discovering what it is like to be an AfMA Member.
Fleet managers, fleet coordinators, fleet administrators and any individual working to manage an organisation’s vehicles. You should also bring a team member, so they’ll be aware of the issues you face and need to plan for in the future.

Topic 1 – Understanding HUMAN BEHAVIOURS is the “new black”.

Presented by Phil Enright

The function will be headed by keynote speaker Phil Enright who will address the basic cause of most incidents and present insights into mitigating the numerous risks associated with Fleet Management.

The current demands on fleet managers varies from accounting and telematics to the management of drivers, maintenance and fuel.  They are expected to improve safety whilst reducing cost and complying with legislation.  “where to begin?”

Most companies will have some level of risk knowledge, but for the Fleet Manager understanding risk goes beyond the basics.

This presentation is designed to challenge your thought process and to hopefully give you a new perspective.

“did you know that 98% of all incidents are caused by people?”

“and over 90% of the actions that led to an incident were intentional?”

Topic 2 – Emerging windscreen glass technology and how it can better protect your vehicles

Presented by Tony Ormrod

Windscreen cracks, dents and damages are not only a major annoyance and disruption for your fleet vehicles but they can also pose a serious safety risk for your drivers. The team from O’Brien AutoGlass are on hand to discuss new ADAS Glass Technology, general safety and what the future holds for glass.

There will also be a windscreen on display for attendees to see up-close the advancements in technology and how they can implement this onto their current and future fleet operations.
